Foundation usually gets all the credit.

When someone tells you your makeup looks especially good, it’s easy to thank the foundation, the concealer or whatever blush you’re wearing that day. The product underneath rarely gets a mention, even though it’s often doing most of the heavy lifting.

That’s why Bobbi Brown’s Vitamin Enriched Face Base has earned such a loyal following.

Originally created backstage for makeup artists, the moisturiser-primer hybrid became one of those products people kept buying because it simply worked. Makeup went on smoother, stayed looking fresher and skin never felt weighed down. Today, one jar is sold somewhere in the world every 10 seconds, so any update to the formula was never going to be taken lightly.

After more than five years of development, Bobbi Brown has introduced Vitamin Enriched Face Base+. It still has the rich buttery texture people know, along with its signature grapefruit and geranium scent. The biggest changes are in the formula itself.

The new Face Base+ is powered by a SuperVitamin Blend containing five times more vitamins than the previous formula. Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) helps support the skin barrier, Panthenol (Vitamin B5) boosts hydration, while Vitamin C helps brighten the complexion over time. It also promises 24-hour priming performance, an immediate 122% increase in hydration and smoother-looking skin after four weeks of regular use.

It also arrives at a time when people are paying far more attention to what happens before foundation goes on. We’ve all blamed a foundation for looking patchy halfway through the day, only to realise later the skin underneath wasn’t properly prepped. A good base doesn’t just make makeup easier to apply. It gives everything that follows a better chance of lasting.

That’s always been part of Bobbi Brown’s philosophy. Since launching in 1991, the brand has blurred the line between skincare and makeup instead of treating them as separate steps. According to consumer testing, 97% of users said their skin felt perfectly primed for makeup, while 96% felt their makeup stayed looking fresh throughout the day, suggesting the updated formula stays true to what made the original so popular.

Global Brand Ambassador Sara Foster leads the new campaign, bringing the effortless, uncomplicated approach that has long been associated with the brand.

Cult products don’t become cult products by accident. They earn their place through years of daily use, when people finish one jar and replace it without thinking twice.

Vitamin Enriched Face Base has already reached that status. Face Base+ keeps everything people already liked, while quietly improving what they couldn’t see.

Vitamin Enriched Face Base+ is now available at Bobbi Brown counters and online.
